Track is priced by linear footage and lamps by spacing, which is why a quote for a bungalow with a straight run looks very different from one for a two-storey with five gables.

This is the single biggest aesthetic decision on the project, and it gets made before anything is ordered — the rail is punched at the factory.
At 8" the lamps read as distinct points: clean, quiet, the closest thing to a traditional pot-light line, and by a wide margin the most popular choice. At 4" the points start to merge into a band at normal viewing distance. At 2" the run becomes effectively continuous, which is what you want on a short feature elevation or where the roofline is very close to the street.

Gentek aluminium in over 120 colours. We hold samples against your fascia in daylight before anything is ordered, because a white that is slightly wrong is more visible than a dark colour that is slightly wrong.
Rails come in 6-foot standard lengths and are cut to your roof measurements in the shop, so install day is assembly rather than fabrication. Two mounting options cover almost every house: soffit rail, tucked under the eave so the lamps aim down the wall, and mural mounting on the fascia face where there is no soffit to work with.

For the linear products: an anodised 6063-T5 extrusion with a polycarbonate diffuser, so a strip reads as a continuous line of light rather than a row of diodes.

The pixels are rated at 50,000 hours. Running dusk to 11pm year-round is roughly 2,000 hours a year, so the rating is about 25 years of that schedule. The warranty is 12 years on the pixel and on the Control Box.
Each lamp threads into the run with a compression-fit watertight connector, so a failed one is unthreaded and swapped without cutting anything. Because every lamp also re-drives the data signal, the run keeps working past the failure rather than going dark downstream.
It is the meltwater that matters, not rain. An Ontario roofline goes through freeze-thaw cycles all winter, and water that has somewhere to sit will find its way into anything less than fully sealed. IP68 is submersion-rated, which is more than the application strictly needs — that is the point.
Yes. It is fastened into fascia, sub-fascia or trim with stainless screws and every penetration is sealed. If you ever take it down, you are patching screw holes in fascia rather than repairing a roof.
Only the track colour and the lamp spacing, because those are physical. Everything else — warm white, cool white, single colours, patterns, animations, schedules — is chosen in the app afterwards and changed as often as you like.
