A slim aluminium track is fastened under your roofline, soffit or fascia and holds a run of individually addressable RGBW lamps — in our case IllumiDEL's 30 mm pixel, seated one per hole. The track is Gentek aluminium colour-matched to your trim, so from the street in daylight you see a shadow line and nothing more. At night it's warm-white accent lighting, holiday colour, or anything in between — controlled from your phone.
No. Holiday colour is one setting out of thousands. Most of our clients run the lamp's dedicated 3000K warm-white channel on a dusk-to-11pm schedule for eleven months of the year, because it reads as architectural lighting rather than decoration. The colour is there when you want it — Canada Day, a playoff run, a birthday.
The channel mounts to fascia, soffit or trim with stainless fasteners and every penetration is sealed. We never fasten through shingles or into the roof deck, which is where leaks actually start. If your fascia is aluminium-clad, we mount to the sub-fascia behind it.
The pixels are rated to −40 °C and sealed to IP68, with threaded watertight connectors, and the roofline runs on 24 V DC so ice and meltwater aren't a shock hazard. Freeze-thaw is the real test here — roughly forty cycles a winter — which is why we use expansion gaps at track joints instead of butting runs tight.
Most homes are one or two days. We measure and quote on the first visit, fabricate the channel to your roofline lengths, then install, commission the controller and walk you through the app before we leave.
Every property is different, so we quote rather than price off a list. The drivers are linear footage, roof access and how many storeys we're working at. The site visit and the quote are free, the quote is itemised line by line and good for 90 days, and financing is available if you'd rather spread it out.
Lifetime on the aluminium track, 12 years on the pixels and the Control Box, 3 years on the linear and fixture ranges, and 3 years on our labour. The hardware terms are IllumiDEL's published warranty; the labour term is ours. Warranty work on anything we installed is a phone call, not a claim form.
