Most people have never had permanent lighting installed and have no idea what they are agreeing to. So here is the whole process, including the parts that involve a ladder on your roof and a hole in your fascia.

About 45 minutes. We measure every run, check soffit depth and fascia material, find where the Control Box and its outlet will go, and hold track colour samples against your fascia in daylight. You decide spacing and colour here, because both are physical and get ordered.
Linear footage, lamp count at your chosen spacing, track colour, Control Box size, electrical and labour — each on its own line. Valid 90 days. If something on it is not worth doing we will say so before you ask.
Rails are cut and drilled to your measured lengths and the runs are pre-assembled and bench-tested before they leave. This is why install day is short: nobody is fabricating anything on your driveway.

Most homes are a single day. Two-storey properties with several gables, or anything where the electrical needs a new circuit, run to two.
The track is fastened into fascia, sub-fascia or trim with stainless screws, and every penetration is sealed. We never fasten through shingles or into the roof deck — that is where leaks actually start, and it is worth asking any other quote you are holding whether they do the same.
Electrical is done to ESA requirements by a licensed electrician, with permits and inspection wherever the scope calls for them. Everything on the roofline is 24 V DC; there is no line voltage anywhere up there.
We mount and seal the box, join it to your 2.4 GHz network, address every run and confirm each lamp responds. Then the app goes on your phone, and on the phone of anyone else in the house who wants it.
At your kitchen table. Your everyday warm white and its dusk-to-whenever schedule, your holiday presets, and whatever else you want saved. You leave this session able to drive it yourself.
Every run gets its final aim and dim level set on site, the driveway is swept, and you get the as-installed run map, the track colour code and the warranty terms in writing. Then it is yours.
For lights up before the holidays, book by early October — September and October are the busiest weeks of our year by a wide margin. Outside that window we can usually be at your property within the week.
Yes, right through January. The limit is snow load and roof ice rather than temperature, so a mid-winter install may get scheduled around the weather rather than around the calendar.
For the site visit, yes — the decisions made there are yours. On install day, not really, though we do need access to power. For the commissioning session you should be there, because that is where we build the scenes you will actually run.
We will tell you at the site visit rather than after we have started. Track fastens into sound material; if the fascia is soft or the sub-fascia is gone, that gets fixed first, and it is not a job we will quietly build over.
We quote rather than price off a list, because the drivers are specific to the house: linear footage, lamp spacing, how many storeys we are working at, and roof complexity. The site visit and the quote are both free, and the quote is itemised and good for 90 days.
