Bright Neighbour exists because our founder came off a ladder taking Christmas lights down in January. Not far, and nothing broke. But it was −22 °C, the ladder was on ice, and it was the fourth year in a row of doing the same job in the same conditions.
We opened in 2025 and spent the first season deliberately small: a handful of houses, installed by the people who sold them, with the specific goal of finding out what actually breaks in an Ontario winter before we scaled. Two things did. Both were connectors. Both were resolved with the manufacturer before we grew the book.
That is still the operating principle. We install year-round, we service what we install, and when something fails we find out why rather than swapping the part and moving on — in every area we cover.
